Get fit and do good in 2017!

Make running and getting fit one of your new year’s resolutions and raise money to support homeless people to improve their wellbeing at the same time! Run a half marathon for Streetwise Opera in 2017 in Manchester, Newcastle or London:

Great Manchester Run – Sunday 28 May

We’ve got five places in this brand new half marathon in Manchester. Part of the ‘Great Run’ series, this brilliant event even has a bank holiday the next day to help you recover. It's a perfect way to start 2017 getting fit and raising money for a good cause! Get in touch with Emily Hurrell for more information, or if you’d like a place, write a short email explaining why you’d like to run on our behalf and what your fundraising target would be.

Great North Run – Sunday 10 September

We’ve got five places going in the original Great North Run in Newcastle. This is a beautiful run from Newcastle through Gateshead and South Tyneside, finishing in South Shields. Sprint your way into autumn and raise money for Streetwise Opera at the same time! To find out more or to express your interest (by outlining why you’d like to run for us and what you think you could raise) please contact Emily Hurrell.

Royal Parks Half Marathon – Sunday 8 October

We’re delighted to have five charity places in the Royal Parks Half in London in October! Fancy a beautiful autumn run through Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park, Victoria Embankment Gardens and Kensington Gardens? Run 13.1 miles and raise money for Streetwise Opera at the same time - what more could you want for a Sunday afternoon? To express your interest or find out more information, please outline why you’d like to run for us and give an idea of how much you could raise, by emailing Emily Hurrell

We also have a runner in the Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday 23 April...

Support our runner compete in this iconic London race, starting in Blackheath and Greenwich Park and finishing on The Mall. We’re yet to announce the runner but are wishing them all the best in their training. What a feat – running 26.2 miles through the capital! Most people wouldn’t be brave enough to do a full marathon, so we’re delighted that someone is willing to put their body on the line to raise money for us. Sponsorship details will be provided shortly.
