Royal College of Music Museum and Recital at St Mary Abbots church

We were welcomed to Royal College of Music Museum by Digital and Documentation Officer, Richard Martin. Richard gave us a tour of the collection on display, including instruments dating back to the late 15th century.
We then moved into the museum stores and Richard talked us through the Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and the Musical Fight for Civil Rights digital exhibition and showed us many objects from the life of Coleridge-Taylor, including family photographs, his conducting batons and cartoons showing how he was perceived in the media.
After our visit to RCM, we travelled to nearby St Mary Abbots church for a recital by Royal College of Music students, who performed Histoire du Tango by Piazzolla, Darshan by Reena Esmail and Années de Pèlerinage by Liszt.
