Streetwise Opera joins English Touring Opera for this production of The Silver Lake – A Winter’s Tale (Der Silbersee), German composer Kurt Weill’s masterpiece.
Banned by the Nazi authorities in 1933 and not performed for many years, this is a piece about those who are left behind.
Conducted by James Holmes, and directed by ETO’s James Conway, The Silver Lake promises to be a compelling night in the theatre, with astonishing music.
Participants from Streetwise Opera’s workshops in London and Nottingham will also take part in performances with ETO at Hackney Empire in London on 5 October and 7 October, and Buxton Opera House on 12 October.
