Charities working in Teesside get together at Middlesbrough Cathedral to share their work in this celebration of the World Day of the Poor.
Participants in Streetwise Opera’s weekly workshops at Methodist Asylum Project Middlesbrough will add some joy and inspiration to this event, with arias from Puccini’s La bohème and folk songs from Africa and America.
The World Day of the Poor is a Roman Catholic observance, celebrated on the 33rd Sunday of Ordinary Time since it was established by Pope Francis in 2017.
