Search for a new home in London
Our finalist place on the shortlist for a cultural anchor tenant in the Peabody development Nine Elms in Wandsworth has galvanised us to move ahead with our plans for a new home in London, which will allow us to launch the UK’s first co-creation opera studio. This will become our new base whilst we also continue to deliver work in Newham, Westminster and at London’s Southbank Centre as well as programmes in Nottingham and Manchester.
The UK’s first co-creation opera studio will expand the work we deliver with Streetwise Opera performers who have experienced homelessness. Building on our award-winning existing programmes, the new studio will enable us to deliver skills-based artistic and organisational training and coaching. In addition, the new space will be a home for small-scale sharings of co-created opera, masterclasses and inspirational talks for the local community.
We are a looking for a developer, landlord, asset manager or local authority who are inspired by our values and social impact and want to embed a unique cultural offer in their place-based development. In return, we can share our capacity needs, business plan and cultural ambitions.
