We are excited to announce that Streetwise Opera has been shortlisted for the 2024 International Opera Awards, in the Equal Opportunities & Impact category. The Awards honour exceptional operatic talent from across the globe, celebrating the diverse and collaborative nature of opera and will be live streamed free on OperaVision.

The Equal Opportunities & Impact category recognises the work by opera companies and arts charities to ensure opera is truly an art form for all – and that everyone feels welcome, both in the audience and on the stage. Streetwise Opera is nominated along with Asian Opera Alliance, NI Opera, Opera Columbus: Crane Directing Fellowship, Opera For Peace and Teatro Regio di Parma: Manifesto Etico.

Winners will be announced at the ceremony on the 2nd of October, hosted by the Bavarian State Opera (last year’s winner in the Opera Company of the Year category) at the Prinzregententheater in Munich.
