Gail oversees the delivery of Streetwise Opera’s national programme, supporting our regional producers, artists, and performers to develop and perform ambitious, co-created work. Drawing on over 15 years of senior producing experience, she ensures that our projects are delivered with care, creativity, and rigour.

Gail joins the team also as a musician, creative facilitator, and co-founder of the award-winning charity Soundcastle. Throughout her career she has worked to unite communities through captivating musical experiences, building mission-driven programmes for people at all stages of life, particularly those facing mental health challenges or social exclusion. A firm believer that the arts are for everyone, Gail views robust safeguarding and wellbeing as the essential bedrock that fosters truly ambitious creativity for participants and artists alike.

Alongside her work at Streetwise, she shares her expertise as a lecturer in socially engaged practice and creative education at the Royal College of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She also leads collaborative music projects with the arts charities Create and Creative Futures.

Outside of work, Gail is a dedicated outdoor swimmer. Regardless of the season or the temperature, she can be found taking the plunge in local waters all through the year and encouraging others to do the same!
