Nottingham Regional Producer

Órla leads on the day to day running of the Nottingham group. Working closely with the Streetwise Opera team, she builds relationships, co-creates projects, and engages new audiences.

Órla is a Working Class theatre director, writer, and producer. Co-creating specialist for 15 years, creating high quality theatre with communities in Nottingham through her theatre company Lit Theatre and providing training opportunities with Arts Award. She co-owns Upstairs at the Western Pub Theatre in Leicester. Trained at Dartington Collage of Arts in Theatre and Visual Arts Practices.

Órla’s work is driven by social justice with the aim to connect communities with performance, to use as a tool for change. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, spending time with her family and cat.
