Rhuti Carr
Head of Producing & Participation - Maternity Cover

Rhuti oversees the delivery of Streetwise Opera's national programme, supporting regional producers, support workers, artists and performers. She also develops the company's wider work, building partnerships, supporting recruitment and developing new projects.

A firm believer that the arts are for everyone, Rhuti has focussed her career on opening up the arts to all, making them inclusive, accessible and providing a space for unheard voices to be listened to.

This ambition has led her to work in a variety of roles, most recently producing the National Theatre's Speak Up programme, heading up the Participation and Learning team at the London Sinfonietta and as Baylis Producer at ENO. She also founded studio2909 which uses creative practice to support young people to engage with the climate crisis and Painting Music, a cross-discipline arts collective.

Outside of work Rhuti can mostly be found chasing after her toddler and on occasion, helping out with a bit of sheep herding on her parents’ farm.

Rhuti's pronouns are She/Her.
