Head of Finance & Operations

If you share our belief that the arts can positively transform lives, this is your opportunity to get involved with an award-winning charity that uses singing and creativity to inspire and empower people recovering from homelessness.

As our new Head of Finance & Operations, you will be at the heart of everything we do. Your strong financial experience, great understanding of charity governance, excellent organisational skills and profound knowledge of good HR practice, will all have a decisive and tangible impact on our life-changing work.

You will work closely with our new CEO in ensuring the financial stability and long-term future of the charity; ensure that the charity conforms to all financial, legal, statutory and contractual requirements, and contribute to the overall strategic vision of the organisation.

This is an exciting time to join Streetwise Opera, as we launch our new strategic plan ‘Creating Together’, we develop stronger partnerships with the homeless sector, and we return to in-person activities after 16 months delivering daily online sessions.

We are an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation (2018-22), we were chosen as one of the Big Issue’s Top 100 Changemakers 2020, and we’ve been recognised by the Royal Philharmonic Society for “vibrantly empowering people who are homeless, with astounding results”.

As an employer, Streetwise Opera offers a range of benefits including professional development and training opportunities, time off for volunteering, and season ticket loans. You will be joining a friendly, committed and supportive staff team and have the opportunity to make a real difference to our ambitious and life-changing work.
