Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (maternity cover)

Streetwise Opera is looking for someone who is passionate about qualitative and quantitative social research to join the team as Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (maternity cover). This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in the arts and in making a difference in the lives of people who have been affected by homelessness.

Streetwise Opera is an award-winning performing arts charity for people affected by homelessness. We run a programme of singing and creative workshops in homeless centres and arts venues in five regions across England. We are also a critically-acclaimed opera company, and the people who take part in our workshops create and perform in extraordinary new productions working alongside exceptional professional artists.

During the lockdown, we are engaging with Streetwise Opera performers through online singing workshops, digital tea breaks, regular phone calls and creative postal packs.

This role leads on the planning and delivery of Streetwise Opera’s sector-leading monitoring and evaluation, enabling us to demonstrate the impact we have on the lives of people affected homelessness across the country. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who can work independently to deliver our data collection, monitoring and evaluation activities and produce high-quality written reports.

Fee: £150 per day
Location: Flexible – role could be done from home but will involve national travel and attendance at meetings in our Central London office once lockdown restrictions are lifted
Hours: average of 1.5 days p/w
Contract: Freelance contract from September 2020 to August 2021
